What’s in a face? A face does not define who you are. It displays your thoughts and your emotions, it tells the story of your life, it is the most physical connection you have to your past and to your future. Your face does not define who you are, but it defines the way that the world sees who you are.
Dr. Alexander’s entire career has been dedicated to the treatment of the face and neck, both for enhancing aesthetics and for reconstructing facial deformities caused by cancer. When it comes to improving your appearance, Dr. Alexander understands what’s in a face.
FACELIFT & NECK LIFT
As we get older, our face and neck undergo characteristic changes: skin develops wrinkles and loses elasticity, muscle and fat sags, bony framework recedes and overall facial volume deflates. The end result is looking older, more tired and not at all like the fresh, vibrant person you know you are on the inside.
Dr. Alexander’s approach is rigorously scientific and anatomical. By identifying which components of the face/neck have been affected by the aging process, and to what degree, he can formulate a tailored plan to restore your youthfulness.
For relatively early signs of aging, Dr. Alexander will utilize a combination of non-surgical techniques (BOTOX Cosmetic®, injectable fillers and skin treatments) to counteract the aging face. With careful planning and expert execution, based on his detailed understanding of facelift anatomy, Dr. Alexander is able to place fillers and BOTOX Cosmetic® in precisely the right locations to add volume and produce jawline definition. Coupled with the appropriate skin treatments, he can create a rejuvenated, younger look—everyone will notice, but no one will know.
For more advanced aging, Dr. Alexander has a three-pronged approach, dubbed the “Trinity Facelift”: i) Resurface damaged skin; ii) Re-suspend the deeper soft tissues that have descended due to gravity; and iii) Reflate facial volume loss using the patient’s own stem cell containing fat cells (Fat Grafting).
With his immense expertise in the anatomy of the face and neck, Dr. Alexander is comfortable performing the extensive “deep-plane” facelift with safety and precision to provide a more robust, longer-lasting lift.
NECK LIFT ONLY
For some, aging comes early to the neck and under-the-chin region. For these individuals who develop a so-called “waddle” (especially common in older men), but don’t require a full facelift, Dr. Alexander prefers a combination of liposuction and direct surgical excision or a limited neck lift approach to rejuvenate the aging neck. Many of these patients will also benefit from a chin augmentation procedure to give further definition to the neck profile.
Similar to liposuction performed in other parts of the body, facial liposuction can be employed using small precision cannulas to artfully contour the jaw and neckline. If needed, these same cells can then be transplanted to parts of the face that require volume enhancement.
